LONDON - Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 has appointed a new general manager, effective from this month.

Meredith Bevan will join the hotel from Hilton London Paddington where he was the general manager.

An industry stalwart, Meredith has more than 26 years hotel and hospitality experience, with 18 of those being with the Hilton brand at various hotels around the UK and Ireland. With general manager roles at Hilton properties in Bath, Bristol, Newport, Ireland and London, he is an ambassador of the brand, winning Director of Operations of the Year 2012 in the Hilton WorldWide awards.

His role at Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 will include managing more than 200 staff and capitalising on national and international markets, particularly given the hotel's location and reputation as a global business hub.

Trevor Lynn, managing director of HMI, the management company of Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5, comments: "We are extremely pleased to have secured a general manager of Meredith's quality. We believe his experience and natural hospitality skills will benefit our team and therefore enhance the experience of both existing and future guests".

Meredith Bevan adds: "Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 is a fantastic hotel with a superb team which I am very much looking forward to joining and developing even further. My goal is to ensure the hotel is front of mind for excellent service and hospitality for dining, meeting and sleeping as well as for relaxing in the spa for all our local, national and international visitors".
