Green Star Certificate Awarded To Hilton Dalaman Resort & Spa

MUGLA, Turkey - Hilton Dalaman Resort & Spa was recognized as an Eco-Friendly Accommodation with a Green Star Certificate by Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The minister, Mr. Ertugrul Gunay, granted the certificate himself to General Manager Mr. Geylan Dursunoglu and Brand Performance Director Mr. Ulli Engels with a ceremony which took place at the hotel on 4th of May.
Green Star (Yeşil Yıldız in Turkish) is a national sustainability award program which is driven by Ministry of Culture and Tourism that celebrates the touristic accommodations which are protecting the nature in means of air quality, energy and water efficiency, noise reduction, bio-diversity, eco-friendly building design, engaging team members and serving the communities while enhancing the guest experience with excellent standards.
Hilton Dalaman Resort & Spa, following brand mission and the goals to reduce energy and water consumptions, CO2 emissions and waste output has been implementing ISO 14001 standards and awarded with White Star and Blue Flag Certificates before.
Minister Ertugrul Gunay commented: "Being respectful to culture, nature and natural resources is getting more important every day. Natural beauties, cultural richness and wonderful climate of Turkey should be protected by hospitality industry as demonstrated here at Hilton Dalaman Resort & Spa."
