"Hawaii Five-0" Surfs Into Asia Pacific With Hilton Hotels & Resorts
Partnership With Hit Drama Series Celebrates Brand's 50th Anniversary In Hawaii

SINGAPORE and MCLEAN, Va. - Preparing to celebrate its 50th year in Hawaii, Hilton Hotels & Resorts rides a new wave into 22 Asian countries as the re-imagined Hawaii Five-0 TV drama series premiered on Nov. 14. Working with AXN, the leading English general entertainment channel in Asia, Hilton Hotels & Resorts is the official hotel partner for the series. Based on the original series which aired in the 60s, the much anticipated TV show stays true to its roots by filming much of the series at iconic sites such as Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa.
A brand new procedural crime drama series from CBS, the series attracted more than 14 million viewers when it first premiered in the United States in September and has drawn an equally strong following in Asia, with the first two episodes garnering top rankings when aired. Showing at prime time slots on weekdays and weekends, the series will reach out to AXN's subscribers from more than 97 million homes across the region. Featuring exciting police chase sequences and memorable "Book'em, Danno!" arrests, the TV series will also have two Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa signature sequences that showcase the resort and some of its hallmark experiences. These include beauty shots of legendary Hilton resort's Rainbow Tower and pathway near its Super Pool, as well as a scene at hot spot Tropics Bar & Grill where the Blue Hawaii cocktail, which was invented by a Hilton bartender at the resort, makes a colorful cameo.
With production lights shining on Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa, the Hilton brand is lighting tiki torches for a special milestone celebration: The year 2011 marks the 50th anniversary, or Year "Five-0," of the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand's presence in Hawaii. The momentous "Five-0" anniversary will be celebrated with special events, packages and promotions throughout the year beginning in January 2011.
