CHENNAI, India - Hilton Chennai bagged awards in two categories in the prestigious Audi Ritz Icon Awards 2011 that represents the ultimate in luxury and lifestyle. The event was hosted in the city on Sunday, 25th September 2011. The ceremony acclaimed Hilton Chennai as the Most Promising Debutant in Hospitality Industry. The hotel’s global cuisine restaurant Vasco’s won its second award since inception under the Best Multi Cuisine Restaurant in a Hotel.

The awards were received by the general manager for the hotel, Roger Brantsma, who acknowledged the support of the patrons and the effort of his team in his thank-you note. Mr Sivaramakrishnan, managing director, UCAL Group and Ms RehaneYavar Dhala, celebrated fashion designer did the honours.

Vasco’s was also recently voted under the same category at the NDTV Hindu Lifestyle Awards.

The Audi RITZ Icon Awards 2011 is the third edition of the annual awards instituted to honour achievers and brands in various categories. Each year a jury, constituted by distinguished writers, artists, and persons from the automobile, fashion and film industry, selects the winners.
