Hilton Doha Embraces Community Outreach Program With Special Needs Center
Team Members Partner with the Shafallah Center for Children with Special Needs

DOHA, Qatar - Members of Hilton Doha enjoyed a fun-filled day with children from the Shafallah Center recently.This initiative is part of the Blue Energy program, which celebrates the values of Hilton Hotels & Resorts by engaging in activities that enrich and help their local communities.
Around 20 members of Hilton Doha's Blue Energy program joined 40 children at the Shafallah Centre, which provides a range of educational and recreational services for children with special needs.
Andreas Searty, general manager, Hilton Doha, said: "We are delighted to be working with such an important organization that provides such an essential service to the society. The Shafallah Center empowers these children so that they can fully participate in their communities and we are very proud to be a part of this initiative."
After a round of exciting introductions, members of Hilton Doha and the children at the Shafallah Centre settled down to participate in various fun-filled activities. Children learnt to make their own cupcakes with a range of decorations and condiments, teamed up to create beautiful flower arrangements and to construct towering buildings out of cards and pins. The Blue Energy team further entertained the kids with hilarious impressions using wigs, hats and bowties.
The children also participated in a series of entertaining competitions and games, including Stop-Light and musical chairs. Hilton Doha team gifted the children Blue Energy t-shirts and commemorated the enjoyable day with a group photo. The best was saved for last as Hilton Doha surprised the kids with a brand new plasma TV and Wii gaming system as a special donation from the hotel.
Searty added: "We really enjoyed spending our time with these amazing children and were touched by their strength of character and heart. Indeed, our partnership with Shafallah shows the ongoing commitment of Hilton Hotels & Resorts to living our values and contributing to the betterment of our community, and it also shows us how much we can learn from these children who try to lead normal lives despite their disabilities."
