HONOLULU, Hawaii -  For the fourth consecutive year, the Hilton Hawaiian Village® Beach Resort & Spa is encouraging guests to travel pink to join the fight against breast cancer and support Susan G. Komen for the Cure with a special room package and exclusive amenity.

Guests can book now for stays between September 1 and December 20, 2009 for Hilton's Travel Pink package starting at $199 per night. To encourage a more active lifestyle, Hilton is offering an exclusive amenity bag with each Travel Pink Package. This year's Travel Pink-nic Package features a custom-designed insulated tote bag with a pink breast cancer ribbon imprint; inside the bag are: a custom-designed water bottle, a beach towel and discount coupons at Hilton Hawaiian Village restaurants and merchants. Later this year, the Hilton Hawaiian Village will make its annual donation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

A minimum two-night stay is required and the package is based on space availability. Room reservations can be made by calling the resort directly at (808) 949-4321 or call toll-free at 1-800-HILTONS (1-800-445-8667) and asking for rate code "P0." Or visit www.hiltonhawaiianvillage.com/pink.

Hilton Hawaiian Village's Travel Pink package is a part of the Travel Pink, Travel O‘ahu initiative sponsored by the O‘ahu Visitors Bureau. Member organizations are partnering the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Hawaii to raise funds to aid in breast cancer research, education and treatment. More than 2.3 million women in the U.S. have survived breast cancer or are living with breast cancer today. Although the numbers of breast cancer diagnoses have increased, the overall breast cancer death rate has significantly dropped since the early 1990s. Advances in detection, diagnosis and treatment have made an impact... but prevention is the key in battling the second-leading cause of cancer-related death in women.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure was established in 1982 by Nancy Goodman Brinker to honor the memory of her sister, Susan Goodman Komen, who died from breast cancer at the age of 36. Today, the Komen Foundation is an international organization with a network of 75,000 active volunteers working through the more than 100 local affiliates. A global leader in the fight against breast cancer, the Komen Foundation fulfills its mission through support of innovative breast cancer research grants, meritorious awards, educational and scientific conferences and community-based outreach programs around the world.
