Hilton Hosts Anniversary Party For Super Customers

CARDIFF, U.K. - Hilton Cardiff held the birthday party with around 50 of its most loyal customers, many of which have visited the hotel weekly for up to a decade. Guests at the party were treated to a Champagne reception and a three course lunch as a thank you as part of the hotel’s 10th anniversary celebrations.
Marie Fagan, general manager of Hilton Cardiff which is the only five star hotel in the city centre, said: “It’s astounding that we are still having the same customers through the doors today as we did 10 years ago.
“We’ve been celebrating our 10th anniversary throughout the year and we wanted to do something to thank our customers for their remarkable loyalty.
“Businesses are always trying to attract new customers but it is so important to look after the ones you already have as their repeat custom and their recommendations are key to your success.
“The party was fabulous and it was great for so many of our regulars to actually get together and meet for the first time.”
Paul and Heather Hinam, both 52, of Barry, have been coming to the Hilton for the whole decade since it opened its doors for the first time. Paul said: “It’s a combination of a great location from a business point of view as the hotel is so central. We like the food offering and the service is outstandingly consistent. “The standards have never lowered over the 10 years and that’s why we keep coming back. Although Hilton is a brand, the hotel and restaurant are individual and there is a really welcoming environment.”
Mair Price has been coming to the Hilton for nine years after her husband Lewis bought her membership for her 60th birthday. Mair lunches at the hotel every fortnight and stays around four times a year, even celebrating their ruby wedding anniversary in the Hilton’s ballroom.
She said: “It’s definitely the atmosphere at the hotel which sets it apart. The staff are very attentive, friendly and professional – I feel I’ve got an extended family as nearly everybody knows me there now. Even when I’m ill and I don’t come in, they ring me up to ask how I am. I adore it there.
“The quality is there and it’s good value for money. I’m not rich but we feel like it when we’re there.”
Dyfrig Thomas, 88, of Barry, has lunched at the Hilton’s restaurant every week for the past eight years and practises his French with restaurant manager and sommelier Jean-Brice Dornier who is from France.
He said: “I enjoy coming to the Hilton and it’s an added incentive as it’s the only place I can practice my French regularly. “The number of regulars at the party speaks volumes for the Hilton. There is plenty of competition but when you’re happy with the food and service in one place then that’s where you want to return to.”
