HONOLULU and MCLEAN, Va. -  State and local officials are urging anyone in Oahu's tsunami inundation zone to evacuate in advance of Tsunami conditions expected to hit the island just after 11 a.m. HST today, with multiple streets in Waikiki scheduled to close beginning at 10 a.m. HST. Hilton Hotels and its properties on Oahu and Hawaii's Big Island are working closely with government officials as the safety of guests and team members is always top priority.

Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa is working with State Civil Defense and is prepared to execute an on-property vertical evacuation plan that moves guests to the third or higher floors across the resort. Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio is not located within the evacuation zone, but is prepared to relocate guests to the third or higher floors of the hotel. Jefferson Elementary, an official emergency shelter, is located near Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio for individuals seeking assistance. Both Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa and Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio continue to monitor this situation and share current information with guests and team members.

Hilton Waikoloa Village, located on the western side of Hawaii's Big Island, has initiated an evacuation plan and is moving guests to a Hilton Grand Vacations Club facility on the island.
