HONOLULU and MCLEAN, Va. -  Two American icons are saying Aloha this fall, as CBS' new Hawaii Five-0 police drama "chases" through the lush, oceanfront grounds of a signature Hilton Hotels & Resorts property.

The re-imagined Hawaii Five-0 TV drama series - the original show thrilled audiences from 1968-1980 with memorable elite police unit pursuits and "Book'em, Danno!" arrests - premiered September 20 and includes scenes unfolding at Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa's tropical setting.

"As our brand approaches the 50th anniversary of its presence on the Hawaiian islands, we are thrilled that Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa, one of our signature Hilton resorts, appears in this new show," said Dave Horton, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand.  "Our Hawaiian portfolio that began with this beloved Waikiki property has been a top vacation destination for generations of travelers."

Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa "hangs ten" with the Hawaii Five-0 cast throughout the season through an array of property shots that will set the scene and support on- and off-duty action.  From the resort's Rainbow Tower rooftop that offers sweeping ocean views to the village's trail of tiki torches that are illuminated each night at sunset, Hilton Hawaiian Village reveals why locals call it the most truly Hawaiian resort.

The TV series will also feature two Hilton Hawaiian Village signature sequences that showcase the resort and some of its hallmark experiences.  The October 25 episode included beauty shots of The Rainbow Tower and pathway near the Super Pool, as well as a scene at hot spot Tropics Bar & Grill where the Blue Hawaii cocktail, which was invented at the resort, makes a colorful cameo.

The first wave of Hawaii Five-0 celebrations includes:

With production lights shining on Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa, the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand is lighting tiki torches for a special milestone celebration:  The year 2011 marks the 50th anniversary, or Year "Five-0," of the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand's presence in Hawaii.  The momentous "Five-0" anniversary will be celebrated with special events, packages and promotions throughout the year beginning in January 2011.

The Hilton Hawaii collection includes three hotels on two islands, with Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio joining Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa on the island of Oahu and Hilton Waikoloa Village commanding 62 oceanfront acres on the exclusive Kohala Coast of Hawaii's Big Island.  In the 50 years since Hilton Hotels & Resorts first made a mark on Hawaii with Hilton Hawaiian Village, this trio of Hilton Hawaii resorts has welcomed the biggest stars of screen, stage and politics.  And proving that Hilton Hawaiian Village is no stranger to the small screen, the resort has previously appeared on popular TV shows including Hawaiian Eye, Beverly Hills 90210, Wheel of Fortune, Magnum, P.I. and Baywatch Hawaii.
