Hilton Kuala Lumpur Continues To Set Industry Benchmarks In Region
Hotel Tops “Best Business And City Hotel” Categories In Three Prestigious, Regional Travel Industry Awards

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - Adding to its already impressive list of accolades, Hilton Kuala Lumpur continues to top the list as the "Best Business and City Hotel" after sweeping a number of regional awards recognising key players in the industry.

The hotel was awarded "Best City Hotel-Kuala Lumpur 2011" at the 22nd Annual TTG Travel Awards Ceremony held in Bangkok this October. This is the fourth time since the hotel's inception that it has won this coveted title. Organised by the Travel Trade Gazette (TTG) Asia Media Group, publishers of Asia's leading travel trade newspaper TTG Asia, the TTG Travel Awards is the benchmark for excellence in the hospitality industry as the winners are selected by key members of the travel trade industry itself. This year, a total of 49,000 votes were cast by industry players that included travel agents, tour operators and destination management companies from across the region.
Other award highlights include the Best City Hotel by "Business Traveler" a well established international magazine for frequent business travellers. The magazine has ten editions worldwide including the UK, US, Asia-Pacific, China, Middle East, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Denmark and Africa, with websites in the UK, Asia, Middle East, US and France. In its 20th year, the awards, given out in 55 categories, reflect the highest accolade discerning Business Traveller readers bestow on travel and hospitality providers. They are based on the results from the yearly Readers' Poll conducted and interpreted by international research agency Synovate
Hilton Kuala Lumpur also continued to rank highly in the "SmartTravelAsia.com "2011 BEST IN TRAVEL POLL". It was one of only two Malaysian hotels included in the list of "Top Twenty Five Business Hotels in the World". SmartTravelAsia.com is the region's only dedicated online travel magazine with over one million readers worldwide
On the local front, readers of Expatriate Lifestyle, Malaysia's leading magazine for the expatriate community voted Hilton Kuala Lumpur as "Malaysia's Best Business Hotel"
