LONDON - Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 is promising to ease the headache of last minute Christmas shopping for its guests with the launch of a new Christmas Concierge service.

The hotel has partnered with luxury lifestyle concierge service Ten Lifestyle to offer guests the opportunity to get all of their last minute shopping done during the week prior to Christmas Day, without the stress of hitting the crowded high streets. The service will also book hard to get hold of tickets for must see shows over the festive period as well as the hottest events and can even help with festive travel issues.

Guests will be able to sign up for a month’s membership of Ten Lifestyle Concierge at a special rate of just £85*. Once subscribed, they can immediately brief an expert lifestyle manager with their Christmas to do list either by phone or email.

The service promises to fulfill all kinds of Christmas requests ranging from organizing a ready-decorated tree to sending Christmas presents anywhere in the world, perfect for families going abroad for the holidays. Last year Ten organized a sleepover at Hamleys for a member’s children and their friends and arranged a Christmas wedding complete with fake snow, real reindeers, and elves.
Members of the Christmas Concierge will be kept up to date on the progress of their requests and can continue to use their membership from anywhere in the world for a month.

If guests are only in town for a short time, the service will allow them to send in their requests prior to hotel check-in. They will also have the option to courier their purchases to their final destination in time for Christmas or New Year, avoiding airline weight restrictions on luggage.

Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 General Manager Greg Place, commented, “Our aim is to ensure all our guests get the most out of their stay, whether they’re visiting on business travel, returning from a winter sun holiday or would simply rather spend their time in London seeing the sights instead of facing the Christmas shopping crowds. With Christmas fast approaching, getting the perfect gift for our loved ones is top of mind so we hope our Christmas Concierge service provides the perfect solution to guests’ festive needs.”

CEO of Ten Lifestyle Concierge, Alex Cheatle, said: “Ten’s expert lifestyle managers love a challenge and the chance to use their creativity to make this Christmas the best yet for our members. This is the perfect service for busy people travelling to London who might not have as much time as they would like to spend on preparing for the festive season.”

Located just over a mile from Heathrow’s airport’s Terminal 5 building, the hotel boasts 350 bedrooms set within 13 acres of landscaped grounds and provides upscale accommodation for leisure and business guests travelling through the airport or visiting the hotel as a destination of its own. The hotel can accommodate up to 1170 events guests in 926 square metres of conference space, designed for lavish gala evenings or global conferences. Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 also welcomes banquets for up to 800 guests in its Gallery Rooms, with the surrounding landscaped gardens providing a beautiful backdrop.

This year’s top presents:
Children: this year Ten is seeing real extremes. Parents are looking to buy a LeapPad or the Inno Tab as well as more traditional presents such as craft materials. Hannah Rech, Ten’s retail supplier manager, said: “Our members seem to be buying hi-tech gifts and then want to balance this with other more low-tech items.”

Women: the trend for focusing on good food has spilled over into Christmas presents, with cookery lessons being a popular choice. Handbags, as always are in high demand. Hannah Rech, Ten’s retail supplier manager, said: “This year our members are going for really classic looks. Whereas last year everyone wanted an Alexa bag, this year it’s the Bayswater from Mulberry. “

Men: The top present for men this year is without doubt the Beats by Dr. Dre headphones followed by the perennial favourites iPads and iPhones.
