NAGOYA, Japan - Hilton Nagoya today announced that the renovation of the Executive Lounge and executive rooms that had commenced in January this year has completed.

"A tremendous amount of thought has gone into creating a space that is both functional and comfortable, while incorporating culturally relevant design which reflects the beauty of Nagoya. In collaboration with some of the best designers, both locally and abroad, we anticipate that our new rooms and Executive Lounge will provide an excellent stay experience that will appeal to our guests today and for the years to come," said Felix Busch, general manager, Hilton Nagoya.

Following the renovation, the executive rooms have a four-point bathroom, which includes an independent shower booth, Japanese style bath tub, toilet and washstand. The Japanese style bath tub has been strongly requested from both domestic and international guests. Designed by the prestigious firm AB Concepts, based in Hong Kong, the new interiors' color scheme drew inspiration from the history of Nagoya with references to ancient castles and samurai. The new design also captures wabi-sabi, the most conspicuous and characteristic feature of traditional Japanese beauty in the guest room - providing a space of understated beauty.

The new Executive Lounge has been expanded to 218 square meters which is almost double the size of the previous lounge to accommodate the growing number of travelers and their preference for a premium, exclusive hotel lounge experience. Designed by Hirsch Bedner Associates, the Executive Lounge features three concept areas designed to provide a home away from home experience to all guests staying in executive rooms and suites, a library lounge, a main kitchen where guests are encouraged to help themselves from an array of food and beverage, as well as a private meeting space with built-in audio visual system.

The design elements are inspired by Japanese craftsmanship and traditional beauty, featuring black iron screens inspired by traditional lattice work and glazed ceramic tiles in the bath room.

Modern urbanized style with layering of Japanese beauty complements the bustle of the city below and creates a revitalizing space for our guests after a busy day of meetings or sightseeing.

This is the first stage of the renovations, and the second stage is currently underway. At the first stage, the renovations of 86 executive rooms and seven executive suites have been completed. There will be 354 more rooms renovated by mid-March 2016.
