GYEONGSANGNAMDO, Korea -  Hilton Namhae Golf & Spa Resort (General Manager, Jean-Philippe JACOPIN), the first Hilton Worldwide Resort, won two prestigious awards at the 2009 World Travel Awards, which is the best honorable prize in tourism and travel industry field, in the categories of Korea's Leading Resort and Korea's Leading Golf Resort for the third year in a row.

The awards, established in 1993, described by The Wall Street Journal as the ‘Oscars' of the global travel and tourism industry, honor the ‘best of the best' in the travel and tourism industry worldwide. The winners of the 16th World Travel Awards were chosen by thousands of votes cast by travel professionals from 167,000 travel agent and tourism professionals across the globe.

At a glittering ceremony held on 7th November at London, Jean Philippe JACOPIN, General Manager, said that "I am very proud for the third year in a row our resort receives the title "Korea's Leading Resort and Korea's Leading Golf Resort since opening 3 years ago as Korea's first worldwide resort." And he added that "Obviously we will not rest on our laurels.
