Hilton Petaling Jaya Appoints Peter Webster As General Manager

PETALING JAYA, Malaysia - Hilton Petaling Jaya has appointed Peter Webster as general manager. Peter is responsible for the operations and performance of the Hotel and its team of over 400 employees.

“I am excited to welcome Peter Webster to Hilton Petaling Jaya. He brings to us more than 17 years of leadership and proven business results as general manager. Following Hilton Petaling Jaya’s extensive rooms and ballroom renovation, his goal is to reintroduce the hotel to the local community and again make it the preferred Hotel for local dining, weddings and events, as well as the first choice for business guests travelling to the area”, said William Costley, vice president for operations, Southeast Asia.

In his 25 years career with Hilton, Peter was previously the general manager of Hilton Short Hills, New Jersey, United States of America. He played an instrumental role in developing and overseeing renovation of the property and opening of the first eforea: spa at Hilton.

Prior to Hilton Short Hills, he was the general manager of British Colonial Hilton Nassau, where he was instrumental in the $18m renovation and modernizing of the property. Following the upgrades, the hotel was awarded “Most Improved Hotel in 2009” among all Hilton Hotels & Resorts properties across the Americas. Peter has also worked in Chicago, Curacao and London.

Born in England, Peter is married with children. Traveling, reading and sports are his other passions.
