Hilton Phuket Arcadia Chef Helps Spice Things Up In Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk, Japan

PHUKET, Thailand - Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa’s Executive Sous Chef, Danai Thotrakul, and Siranee Chankhun, Chef de Partie, have today returned from a trip overseas to Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk, Japan where they showcased their culinary skills at a Thai Food Promotion during a Thai Culinary and Cultural Festival. The festival was organized by Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk in conjunction with Thai Airways to promote world class Thai cuisine at Seala Restaurant at Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk between October 7 and 16, 2011.
A Thai national, Chef Danai has been with the Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa for over six years and has over 15 years of extensive culinary experience.
In Fukuoka, he introduced a variety of enticing Thai creations to the hotel’s restaurant and sharing his skills with the Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk culinary team. His presence left a long-lasting impression on the Japanese guests of Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk and its team members.
On this unique experience Chef Danai said “It was great to be able to share my experience with the team in Fukuoka and represent my Thai culture through my cooking. The Japanese guests were interested in the Thai cuisine, not only in the taste but also in the recipes and how to create Thai dishes at home. It made me feel so proud of my heritage and culture and I am so happy to be able to share some of Thai cooking secrets with the Fukuoka team and guests. In return, I have learnt many things about the Japanese cuisine, which perhaps I might consider introducing into our own menus here in Phuket.”
Now back in Phuket and under the experienced guidance of Executive Chef Joseph Nagy, Chef Danai and his teams culinary progress can be experienced by dining at any of the four restaurants, Sails, Thai Thai, Buon Appetito and Ocean Beach Club, at Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa every day.
