Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa Appoints New General Manager

PHUKET, Thailand - Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Andre A. Gomez as general manager. Andre brings extensive hotel management experience to the Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa where he will be responsible for the largest resort in Southern Thailand.
Born in Malaysia, Andre was raised and educated in Australia where his base remains Perth, Western Australia. He was training in Hospitality includes Hotel & Business Management in Australia as well as at the Cornell-Nanyang Institute of Hospitality Management in Singapore. He started his 20 plus year career in Food & Beverage with Hyatt International. With a passion for food, he then moved on to develop and lead the Food & Beverage operation of the world's first six star couture Palazzo Versace Hotel on Australia's famed Gold Coast under the guise of Gianni Versace out of Milan. Prior to arriving in Phuket, he has been general manager in charge at the Radisson Plaza Sydney, Australia and in the last 5 years was general manager of the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel Dhaka, Bangladesh. With his diverse cultural background and experience, he is also conversant in Bahasa Malaysia & Indonesia, Cantonese and Tagalog.
