PRAGUE - Hilton Prague and Hilton Prague Old Town have taken part in Careers@Hilton Live: Youth in Hospitality Month, Hilton Worldwide's largest ever global career event showcasing to young people, the many opportunities available in the hospitality industry. Throughout the month of May, Hilton Worldwide hotels and corporate offices around the globe are hosting hundreds of events to inform those looking for employment, including young people, about the vast array of exciting opportunities available to all in the hospitality industry. This event is part of Bright Blue Futures, a global program that encourages Team Members to donate their time and expertise to help young people achieve stability and bring hope to their communities, preparing them for a brighter future.

Careers@Hilton Live: Youth in Hospitality events are a unique opportunity for Hilton Worldwide Team Members to inspire those looking for employment about careers in the hospitality industry, and to support them by providing guidance on the skills that are vital to succeed in the workplace and beyond. Participants have been joining Hilton Worldwide Team Members for events ranging from résumé clinics, to career speed-networking, as well as presentations from Team Members on their career paths.

Hilton Prague and Hilton Prague Old Town hosted events for three days, welcoming 600 students aged 16 to 20 from orphanages sheltered by Tereza Maxova Foundation, Czech hotel schools and hospitality universities as well as the University of Applied Science in Groningen, Netherlands. The program included 14 entertaining workshops under the slogan 'Life Academy' which were related to different departments: kitchen, front office, food & beverage, housekeeping and finance. Each initiative started with departmental site inspections, introductions into the specific departments and their roles within the hotel and personal success stories of the department managers, followed by interactive workshops. Participants had a chance to make their own pizza, practice wine service and cocktail preparation. Front office and housekeeping teams prepared entertaining games such as trolley cage race and a knowledge quiz "Become a Hiltonaire". Meanwhile, the finance department organized a specially designed workshop for children from orphanages focusing on basic financial literacy when handling personal finances and monthly budgets. All participants enjoyed the event very much as did the Hilton Team Members who took part.

Essam Abouda, Area Vice President for EEIRT, Hilton Worldwide, said, "Young people continue to face challenging employment prospects, so it is more important than ever to make sure they receive information and advice about the options available and the skills and attributes they will need once they embark on their chosen careers.

"We are passionate about raising awareness of the opportunities the hospitality industry offers and we are delighted to be doing this through one of our biggest ever careers events across the globe."

Careers@Hilton Live: Youth in Hospitality Month is a part of Hilton Worldwide's Open Doors commitment, which aims to positively impact at least one million young people by 2019 and better prepare them to reach their full potential.

Anyone unable to attend an event during the month of May can still take part in Hilton Worldwide's "Career Concierge," in which everyone interested in learning more about careers in hospitality can submit their questions online via Hilton Worldwide's twitter feed (@HiltonWorldwide) using hashtag #CareersatHiltonLive, or through the form on www.hiltonworldwide.com/youth.
