Hilton Shijiazhuang Appoints Steven Chen As Director Of Business Development

SHIJIAZHUANG, China - Hilton Shijiazhuang today announced appointment of Steven Chen as director of business development. Mr. Chen will report to Mark Ancrum, general manager, Hilton Shijiazhuang, and is responsible for directing all aspects of the hotel's sales and marketing functions including Rooms Sales, Conference and Event Sales, Reservations and Public Relations and Marketing activities.
Mr. Ancrum said, "Mr. Chen brings to the role more than 12 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has worked for top names in the hotel sector in China. We're delighted to have him to join our senior leadership team in Shijiazhuang, and we are confident that his skills will prove to be an asset in helping to establish Hilton Shijiazhuang as one of the leading hotels in the market. We wish him much success in his new role."
Mr. Chen joined Hilton Worldwide in 2011 as director of sales at Hilton Guangzhou Baiyun. Before this, he served as director of sales and marketing at Howard Johnson Tongfang Plaza Zhuji.
Mr. Chen started his hospitality career in Wuhan in 2000. He later relocated to Shenzhen in 2009 where he joined Crown Plaza Hotel & Suites Landmark. He has also gained a distinct local market understanding from his time working in different regions in China.
Mr. Chen is a Chinese national and holds a major in Tourism Management from China South Central University for Nationalities.
