ST. LOUIS - Beginning this summer, St. Louisans and visitors to the Gateway city will have a new perch from which to enjoy a sweeping view of downtown and savor a cocktail and a bite to eat.  Three Sixty, a new 275-seat lounge with an innovative small plate menu, is being constructed atop the 25-story east tower of the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark (One South Broadway) and will offer a 360-degree view - indoor and out - of the riverfront, Arch, city skyline and every base in Busch Stadium.  Now that's a birds' eye view!

St. Louis-based Lodging Hospitality Management Inc. (LHM), which owns the hotel, announced today that the 6,000 square-foot facility is slated to open late Summer 2011.  For development, LHM handpicked the nationally renowned, Atlanta-based firm Concentrics Restaurants, most recently known for their development of the award-winning State and Lake, cibbo matto and ROOF at theWit Hotel in Chicago.

The year-round facility has a flexible design that allows a portion to be closed off during colder months.  As its name implies, Three Sixty will offer unparalleled views on all sides.  The sleek, urban space will feature a giant outside bar, several indoor bars, dozens of flat-screen TVs, Zen-like fire pits and several private and semi-private dining spaces. 

More than just a bar, Three Sixty will feature a full-service kitchen to accommodate groups large and small.  The menu will offer an array of small plates; a comprehensive beer, wine and cocktail program will feature house-made infusions.  Three Sixty will be open seven nights a week, starting at 3 p.m. and will be available during the day for private functions.  Total capacity is 400 people.

Lodging Hospitality Management acquired the hotel in 2005 (formerly a Marriott) and then invested over $16 million in renovating every aspect of the landmark hotel.  Already known for its stellar location and first-class amenities, the hotel will now be crowned with a rooftop bar on par with the best in the country.

"Whether it's a summer baseball afternoon or a cool night with a blanket of snow covering the city, the view at Three Sixty is going to be phenomenal and the atmosphere electric."

Concentrics Restaurants, led by Bob Amick, is a restaurant operating group that owns, manages and develops nationally acclaimed concepts across the U.S., including cibo matto (Chicago), Luma on Park (Orlando) and Two Urban Licks (Atlanta). Amick and his concepts have been nominated for several James Beard Awards including "Outstanding Restaurateur" and "Best Restaurant". Furthermore, Concentrics Restaurants have been named to Condè Nast Traveler's "Hot List"; Bon Appetit's "Hot 50 Tables"; Esquire's "Best New Restaurants" and more. Amick's team anticipates that Three Sixty will be as well received as their ROOF concept in Chicago, which was named "Best Rooftop Bar in the World" by ABC News, "Best Rooftop Bar in Chicago" by NBC Chicago and one of the "Top 10 Rooftop Bars" by USA Today.

For Three Sixty's design, Concentrics turned to The Johnson Studio, an award-winning international restaurant architecture firm that is known for its unique designs of Atlanta's TWO urban licks, Chicago's TRU restaurant, New York's Barbounia, Costa Rica's Hotel Grano de Oro, Las Vegas' Mon Ami Gabi, and many more. The Johnson Studio has been engaged in the design of hospitality projects for more than twenty years and they have designed hundreds of renowned restaurants. Construction for the project is being handled by O'Fallon, Missouri-based PARIC Corporation.
