Hilton Waikoloa Village Announces Gregory Smith As New Director Of Finance

WAIKOLOA, Hawaii - Hilton Waikoloa Village -- the 62-acre oceanfront resort on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii -- proudly welcomes Gregory Smith to the hotel team as the new director of finance. Smith will oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with Hilton Waikoloa Village's strategic plan.
With more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Smith has served as the chief financial officer for Waterford Hotel Group, and most recently as the vice president of development for the leading hotel management company in Connecticut. His notable career includes positions as the chief financial officer at Boykin Management Company where Smith played a key role in the sale of the company to a Canadian REIT that included negotiations and diligent support. Smith also previously served as the vice president and regional director of finance United States and Europe at Interstate Hotels and Resorts, where he assisted the company's IPO team in going public in record time. Smith brings to Hawaii extensive experience in hotel and resort operations, including international finance, management contract negotiations, acquisitions, insurance, owner relations and human resources.
