Hilton Worldwide Appoints Jamie Mead As General Manager Of Hilton Tokyo

TOKYO - Hilton Worldwide has appointed Mr. Jamie Mead as general manager of Hilton Tokyo. Born in Australia, Mr. Jamie Mead has held a number of senior management positions within Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the South Pacific with Le Meridien, Stamford and Hyatt before joining Hilton Worldwide in 2003. Mr. Mead is a graduate of the University of Adelaide and the Flinders University of South Australia.

Prior to this appointment Jamie Mead was general manager of Hilton Nagoya and director of Nagoya Hilton Co., Ltd., (2008-2011) and director, business development, Hilton Tokyo from 2006. Before moving to Japan, Mead was director of operations and director of business development at Hilton Brisbane in Queensland Australia.

As general manager, Mr. Jamie Mead will assume responsibility for managing Hilton Japan’s flagship hotel – Hilton Tokyo, which was the first internationally branded hotel in Japan. With 808 guest rooms, 8 restaurants & bars and 15 banqueting rooms, Hilton Tokyo has completed its three-year multimillion dollar refurbishment and continues to be a leading upscale hotel in the Japanese capital.
