Hilton Worldwide Appoints Kieron Hunt As Director Of Operations At Hilton Guangzhou Baiyun

GUANGZHOU, China - Hilton Worldwide today announced the appointment of Kieron Hunt as the director of operations at Hilton Baiyun Guangzhou.  Kieron Hunt will report to Philippe Kronberg, the hotel general manager while assuming responsibilities for generic hotel operations, including Rooms, Food and Beverage, Front Office, Spa, and Security.  Kieron Hunt joins Hilton Worldwide from IHG Cluster Dubai Festival City where he was Director of Food and Beverage; He started his new position on December 14, 2010 and will be based in Guangzhou.

Philippe Kronberg, general manager of Hilton Guangzhou Baiyun, Hilton Worldwide, said, "It's exciting that Kieron brings his sophisticated experience in the industry to us - we look forward to drawing on his expertise to lift the standard of this hotel even higher."

Kieron joins the Hilton group having spent the last five years working with IHG in the Middle East. His previous role as Director of Food & Beverage for the cluster of properties in Dubai saw him head over 22 restaurants, bars and lounges while being part of the pre-opening team at Dubai Festival City. Prior to his Middle East experience, Kieron spent several years in England where he had several senior roles with Chelsea Football Club and providing E-commerce solutions to the hospitality trade.

Kieron Hunt brings 16 years of hospitality expertise in the Asia Pacific region to his new role at Hilton Worldwide. He was formerly the Director of Food & Beverage at IHG Cluster Dubai Festival City where he headed the operations of 22 restaurants and bars while managing over 630 F&B colleagues. As a native English speaker born in Australian, Kieron also speaks French, and is equally proficient in Japanese and Italian dialects.
