Hilton Worldwide Appoints Mark Ancrum As General Manager Of Hilton Shijiazhuang

SHIJIAZHUANG, China - Hilton Worldwide today announced appointment of Mark Ancrum as General Manager of its newest hotel in North China, Hilton Shijiazhuang.

Mr. Ancrum will report to David Kelly, regional general manager, North China, Hilton Worldwide, and is responsible for all aspects pertaining to the success of the hotel, from a commercial, operational and financial point of view, in line with Hilton values.

Mr. Kelly said, "Ancrum brings to this role more than 25 years global luxury experience and a unique perspective in hotel operations. He has worked in many international hotel brands around the world, renowned for quality and service, including most recently our own Hilton Sanya Resort & Spa. We wish him the best at Hilton Shijiazhuang and are confident that his talent, experience and insight into the Chinese market will ensure its success."

Mr. Ancrum joined Hilton Worldwide in 2010 as director of operations at Hilton Sanya Resort & Spa, Hainan Island. Before this, he was based in his home city of Auckland, New Zealand as SkyCity Grand Hotel manager. Between 1993 and 2008, Mr. Ancrum was with Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Europe and North America. He has also spent time with both Pan Pacific Hotels & Resorts and Regent-Four Seasons.

Born in the UK, Mr. Ancrum was raised and schooled in New Zealand receiving Associate Degrees in Hotel Administration & Catering Administration from the Central Institute of Technology, New Zealand. He speaks English and Russian and is slowly learning Mandarin.
