Hilton Worldwide Signs Agreement To Develop First Hilton Hotels & Resorts Property In Ningbo, China

SHANGHAI, China and MCLEAN, Va. - Hilton Worldwide today announced the signing of a management agreement with Ningbo Guoyuan Zhiye Co., Ltd. for the first Hilton Hotels & Resorts hotel in Xiangshan County, Ningbo, China. Comprising 316 rooms, Hilton Ningbo Xiangshan Resort is scheduled to open in 2014. It will also mark Hilton Worldwide's entry into Xiangshan, a coastal county known for its fishery, construction and textile industries.

Owned by Ningbo Sanli Zhiye Co. Ltd., Ningbo Guoyuan Zhiye Co. Ltd., specialises in tourism real estate development, as well as investments in city infrastructure construction and hotel operations. The company has been in the hospitality sector for more than 20 years and is currently involved in several city infrastructure investment and development projects in Shanghai, Zhejiang and its surrounding areas.

Alan Xu, deputy general manager, Sanli Land Co. Ltd. which owns Sanli Zhiye Co. Ltd. said, "We have had a great partnership with Hilton Worldwide for more than 10 years. We believe that the Hilton Ningbo Xiangshan will bring mutual benefits to the two parties in the long run and help in the development of the local tourism sector in Xiangshan." 

Hilton Ningbo Xiangshan will be located in a tourism hotspot along the southeast coastal road on the peninsula, offering excellent ocean views overlooking the nearby Yangtoushan Island. When opened, it will be the second hotel by the same owner that Hilton Worldwide will be managing for. The other hotel is Hilton Shanghai.
