Hilton Worldwide Statement – Pacific Earthquake and Tsunami

As of March 11, 2100hrs (GMT+9), we can confirm that there is no reported damage to any of our hotels in Japan, and all guests and team members are safe.
A tsunami warning remains in effect for the Hawaiian Islands. Surges in tide of several feet began at approximately 3 a.m. Hawaiian Time and two hours later were continuing to occur. We are closely monitoring the situation.
The tsunami warning also is still in effect for the coastal areas of Alaska, British Columbia, California and Oregon. The tsunami is anticipated to reach the West Coast at approximately 8 a.m. Pacific Time.
The safety of our guests and team members is our highest and most immediate priority, and we are closely monitoring the situation.
Due to this earthquake, Hilton Worldwide will allow affected guests holding non-changeable or non-refundable advance purchase bookings at any of its hotels in Japan to rebook to another date at no charge or to receive a full advance deposit refund. In addition, all cancellation fees will be waived for affected guests until further notice.
