Kay Jackson Is Awarded CEO Light And Warmth Award
The Hilton’s highest form of Team Member recognition

NORTHHAMPTON, UK - Kay Jackson at Hilton Northampton has recently been awarded the CEO Light and Warmth Award which is Hilton’s highest form of Team Member recognition. This prestigious award spotlights select individuals who consistently go beyond expectations and embody Hilton’s shared purpose.
Kay was nominated for the award from Ahmet Donmez the general manager at Hilton Northampton for her exceptional work at the property. Kay is the Maintenance manager at Hilton Northampton and is one of the few women in this role within Hilton. With the support of Hilton, Kay has gained her NEBOSH and hygiene qualifications. She is also involved in the Hilton engineering apprenticeship scheme and represents Hilton as a government Trailblazer writing a national apprenticeship for maintenance.
Kay works with developing apprenticeships and developing a training platform for engineering, training for the UK is something she takes great pride in and it gives her great pleasure to know that the work she has done can help so many of her colleagues to grow within their roles. Along with mentoring and coaching staff internally she is also well respected with guests for her support and problem solving.
Kay personally ran an event in the summer called “Drowning Prevention Week”. She worked closely with Northamptonshire sport to provide packs to schools in Northamptonshire educating children on the dangers of open water and drowning. She educated 27,000 young people with the packs being delivered to schools in June 2017.
“The week was amazing and gave such a sense of achievement that you may have made a difference to prevent another tragedy. I hope we are able to support again this year” - said Kay.
Kay also helps local homeless people and worked with Hope Centre in trying to help residents learn skills, so they can rebuild their lives. She also provided hot lunches and helping paint the public area to create a better environment. Hope Centre is a local charity that Kay truly supports as they do so much for the community.
“It is a great atmosphere to be involved with and hope to do more work with them in the future”, said Kay.
On winning the award, Kay continued: “Words cannot describe how I feel to win this award - It is so surreal. I am absolutely thrilled to have been recognised. I have always admired previous winners and now I am proud to be one of them”.
