Launch Of New Tiki Cocktails From The Boathouse Bar
March 01, 2009
Trader Vic's at London Hilton on Park Lane, the French Polynesian restaurant and bar renowned for its exotic island atmosphere, is pleased to announce the launch of new cocktail initiatives at the Boathouse Bar.
MINI CANOE SHARING COCKTAILS
In true South Pacific tiki style which favours unusual drinking vessels, the cocktails are served in a mini wooden canoe, carved with native designs.
The Mini Canoe has been devised as a sharing cocktail, containing the equivalent of six standard drinks. Customers can choose any cocktail from the list and this is presented at the table dressed with exotic fruits or flowers.
Prices vary depending on the cocktail chosen; classic Trader Vic cocktails such as the Mai Tai, the Tiki Puka, Samoan Fog Cutter and Scorpion which serve 6-8 people, cost £60 for each Mini Canoe.
The Mini Canoe cocktails are available from 1st April 2009.
For larger parties and celebrations, a full size canoe is available; this acts as a portable bar and dispenses up to ten gallons of drinks. Prices start from £440 for the equivalent of 50-60 cocktails.
LIMITED EDITION MARAMA FULL MOON PLATTER
Inspired by the Full Moon festivals that take place throughout South East Asia and Polynesia, the Boathouse Bar is launching the Marama Platter which will only be available during full moon dates.
The Marama Platter (the Polynesian name for ‘moon') is composed of a Gun Club Punch cocktail and accompanying light bites of Thai chicken skewers, tiger prawns in pastry, fish cakes, rice filled cherry tomatoes and sweet chilli sauce for dipping.
It is priced at £15 (for the cocktail and food) and is available from Saturday 9 May 2009 and on the following full moon dates only:
