‘Menu Potager' Introduced At London Hilton On Park Lane's Galvin At Windows

LONDON - The award winning Galvin at Windows restaurant, situated on the 28th floor of London Hilton on Park Lane offering modern French cuisine and peerless views over London, is introducing a ‘Menu Potager', a vegetable-focused tasting menu from 6 October 2009.
The seasonally changing menu created by Head Chef Andre Garrett MCA, provides those customers - whether they be vegetarians or simply looking for an alternative menu option and a lighter way to eat - with the same gastronomic experience as those choosing a Menu Degustation.
Andre says: "I have often seen these menus in France and thought they were an interesting way of capturing people's interest in provenance and a move towards a lighter way of eating. In Western cuisine the attention is often on the meat or fish element of the meal and I wanted to highlight the fantastic selection of produce we have on offer - so many different flavours, textures and varieties with which to create stand alone dishes. It is also a good creative challenge for the team."
Andre had previously introduced a Menu Potager to great success at Michelin-starred Orrery in Marylebone.
The Menu Potager menu is available daily, at lunch and dinner time. Sample menu below:
Heirloom tomato salad, gazpacho and basil
Celeriac royal, salad of hazelnut and Muscat
Sweetcorn agnolotti, smoked maple vinaigrette and pea shoots
Tart tatin of ceps, fresh coco beans, potato and mozzarella cream
Seasonal cheese selection by maitre affineur "Jaques Bourdier"
English strawberry vacherin
Baked Provence figs, honey and praline parfait
The Menu Potager is priced at £60 per person for seven courses; £105 with matching wines and £125 with wines and Dom Perignon 2000 Champagne.
