New Culinary Adventure Launched At Hilton Sanya Resort & Spa

SANYA, China -  The award-winning Hilton Sanya Resort & Spa’s restaurants and bars are offering gastronomic experiences based on the five traditional elements of metal, wood, water, fire and earth, led by the hotel’s well-known Executive Chef Hamish Watts, recently named “Chef of the Year” by (insert the name of Shanghai TV station). Guests can look forward to a new culinary experience this Chinese New Year, where welcoming the Year of the Ox becomes more memorable than before.

Metal – Bar D’Or
Extravagantly decorated and designed in a luxurious gold international setting, Bar D'Or is an excellent venue for evening entertainment. Toast to the arrival of Spring with the specially concocted Spring Festival Cocktail, available on January 25 from 20:00 to 01:00.

Free house cocktails are offered to ladies on Ladies’ Night from 20:00 to 21:00 every Wednesday, and guests can also groove to live music from Lunch Box, a resident band from the Philippines, on Friday evenings.

Wood – Teak Lounge
The expansive lobby lounge, permeated with solid and comforting teak wood, is an ideal chill-out place throughout the day. During the day, guests can savor traditional Chinese “Tea for You” and watch tea performances, complemented by the scenic views outside the lounge.

In the evenings, the lounge transforms into the perfect spot for guests to indulge in its signature Elite Cocktails, arguably the best cocktails on the island prepared by the hotel’s own mixologist. These are created using a combination of tropical fresh ingredients [examples?] and spirits.

Water – .IZE
The signature water-themed .IZE restaurant has a daily selection of the freshest seafood and finest wines for a prosperous start to the New Year. All time favorites such as Japanese Yakitori (grilled chicken on skewers) are available on Tuesday evenings as well.

Fire – The Big Kitchen
The heat and transformative properties of fire serve as the central theme of the all-day dining restaurant. Guests will be spoilt for choice when they have their New Year reunion dinners with the wide array of dishes designed to tantalize the taste buds of each individual.

On Thursday evenings, guests can sample some of the best Asian cuisine that originated from the Silk Road of China, aptly themed “Silk Road Spice”. Friday is the day of “Seafood Bonanza”, where seafood lovers can indulge in an abundance of Southern China’s freshest seafood. On weekends, diners can either treat themselves to a “Beach Bonfire BBQ” on Saturdays or the highly popular “Sanya Streets BBQ” on Sunday evenings.

Earth – China Harvest
China Harvest recently saw the introduction of authentic Hainan specialties made from the freshest ingredients by Chef Tony Leong. Guests who desire something different this New Year can savor the exotic flavors of Hainan, with the restaurant’s selection of traditional delicacies such as Wenchang Chicken, Jiaji Duck, Dongshan Lamb and Hele Crab, designed to send them into gastronomical heaven.
