R.U. Shop Cloud 9 Bartending School Launched With Participation Of Czech Bartending Elite

PRAGUE, Czech Republic -  On May 13, which is International Cocktail Day, R.U. Shop Cloud 9 Bartending School was launched at Hilton Prague Hotel. Roman Uhlíř, manager of Cloud 9 sky bar & lounge, joined Czech top bartenders Michael Tretter and Václav Vojíř for the festive opening.

Each of the three most experienced and high profile bartenders in the Czech Republic mixed one cocktail for the invited guests. Roman Uhlíř prepared the most popular Cloud 9 signature cocktail Charisma based on Peppar vodka, garnished with its famous chili pepper and basil leaves. Václav Vojíř introduced the Bugsy´s bar favourite Bugsy’s Rose, which is based on vodka and roses in various substances. Last but not least, Michael Tretter presented a very sophisticated drink, Tretter’s Generation, boasting a unique taste created by combination of gin and fresh juniper.

After the festive bartending school opening, all of the three bartenders imprinted their hands on the bar top and added their autographs á la Hollywood style.

The unique R.U. Shop Cloud 9 Bartending School was established as a joint venture of the renowned Roman Uhlíř´s R.U. Shop Bartending School and the popular Cloud 9 sky bar & lounge. It is located at Hilton Prague Hotel and its mission is not only to increase the technical knowledge of the bar staff, but also to provide the best quality services in the gastronomy field.

As the only bartending school in the Czech Republic, it offers courses to both general public and catering professionals. Clients may experience working behind the bar and develop their skills thanks to the long professional experience of Roman Uhlíř.

In 2001, the school was awarded an International Education Society certificate with a BB rating, i.e. a good quality institution with high standards. In 2004, it obtained a BBB rating, which means that it is considered to be a high quality and professionally managed organization.

There are seven courses on the standard offer of the school targeting professionals and beginners, bartending students as well as general public. It is obviously possible to create tailored courses to meet specific needs of all the clientele. Some of the courses are especially suitable for groups as teambuilding activities.
