The Beverly Hilton Unveils The 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards Ceremony Menu

New Executive Chef Troy N. Thompson Debuts What the Stars Will Enjoy On Awards Night in the International Ballroom

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - The Beverly Hilton's new Executive Chef Troy N. Thompson and Executive Pastry Chef Thomas Henzi today debuted the menu for the 72nd annual Golden Globe® Awards, which will be served to 1,300 of Hollywood's most celebrated in film and television. As the home of the Golden Globe Awards for a total of 44 times and for the last 40 consecutive years, The Beverly Hilton's legendary International Ballroom will be the scene where the show, hosted for the third year in a row by Golden Globe Award winners Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, will be broadcast live coast-to-coast on NBC (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT) on Sunday, January 11, 2015 and seen in more than 192 countries worldwide.

Inspired by California's abundance of fresh produce and celebrating the extensive reach of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, The Beverly Hilton's executive chefs prepared a three-course menu that included a Modern Waldorf Salad with Lemon Emulsion Dressing followed by an entrée duo of Roasted Onion-Marinated Filet Mignon and Slow Baked Arctic Char with Potato Croquette, Heirloom Cherries and Tomato Fondue and Black Tuscan Kale. Dinner will be finished with a dessert trio of Cassis Lemon Cheesecake, Chocolate Alliance Salted Caramel and Hazelnut Dacquoise.

The Beverly Hilton's Executive Chef Troy N. Thompson, who joined the iconic hotel's culinary team in the summer of 2014, presented this year's exclusive menu for the Golden Globe Awards for the first time. Since his arrival, the acclaimed chef has successfully overseen menus for high-profile events and galas at The Beverly Hilton such as The Carousel of Hope Ball and The BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards. Creating the showstopping dessert for his fifth consecutive year is The Beverly Hilton's Executive Pastry Chef Thomas Henzi.

Additional highlights of the menu reveal included a champagne cocktail tasting by Moët & Chandon, the official champagne of the Golden Globe Awards. This year, Moët & Chandon will co-star on the red carpet and tables at the Golden Globes with its family of champagnes. Stars will be served 1,500 Moët Impérial minis on the red carpet; 400 magnums of Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2004 and Moët Impérial Rosé at their tables during the awards ceremony; and 500 Moët cocktails served at the bars.

To adorn the tables and create an award-winning backdrop for the dinner, famed florist Mark Held of MARK'S GARDEN® used six varieties of roses, miniature orchids, and hydrangea accented with lisianthus. Vivid blocks of color are featured in each arrangement creating a dramatic impression worthy of the star-studded party.
