WASHINGTON -  Washington Hilton has been honored with two awards for service, quality and support by the readers of Association Meetings and Medical Meetings Magazines, with an Inner Circle Award and a Merit and Distinction Award, respectively.

Washington Hilton was one of only two D.C.-based hotels to earn Inner Circle Award distinction by Association Meetings readers. According to the publishers, winners were recognized for their high level of service, flexible function space, quality of food and beverage, and good value on room rates. Additionally, Medical Meetings recognized Washington Hilton as the only meeting space in D.C. to win the renowned Merit and Distinction Award, based on the hotel's ability to exceed meeting planners' expectations in regards to guest room quality, meeting rooms, catering and convention services, and audio-visual technical support.

"There is no greater honor than being recognized by our customers for the service we provide," said Frank Passanante, Hilton Worldwide Mid-Atlantic Regional Director of Sales & Marketing. "And now more than ever - with our $140 million restoration set for completion in June of this year - clients and guests can expect even more service, hospitality and collaboration."

Indeed, Washington Hilton's restoration has positioned the hotel to continue exceeding meeting planners' and guests' expectations, with a top-to-bottom complete makeover of all guestrooms, public areas, lobby, health club, restaurants, meeting rooms and function space. This month marked the opening of the hotel's Heights Executive Meeting Center, a new distraction-free learning environment comprised of nine dedicated meeting rooms within the hotel.

Outfitted with state-of-the-art technology and exceptional learning surroundings, Heights Executive Meeting Center was strategically created with both planners and conference attendees in mind. The center features large floor-to-ceiling windows that provide garden views, ergonomic chairs, hard-top tables, recessed projection screens and new "smart" functions, including interactive digital technology at the entrance to each meeting room, where conferees can use touch screens to select a multitude of options - view the day's agenda, lunch location, or even look up flight departure information for the surrounding three major airports.

In June, the hotel will complete the restoration and debut a new 30,000 sq. ft. multipurpose hall, named Columbia Hall, as well open a new business center, health club and outdoor seasonal pool, among additional amenities.
