Hilton Waikoloa Village, an oceanfront resort set on Hawaii Island’s spectacular volcanic coastline, announces the opening of Kona Tap Room in partnership with the internationally-renowned and widely-respected Kona Brewing Company. The new outlet offers 16 craft and domestic beers on tap, including Kona Brewing Company favorites and seasonal options. Two of the Tap Room’s small-batch offerings, Kua Bay IPA and Hula Hefeweizen, are only available in Hawaii. Boasting creative “Surftinis & Beertails,” guests will experience options like the Paddleboard Mojito, which combines Longboard Island Lager with Bacardi, house-made specialty mix, and mint for a Hawaiian spin on the classic cocktail.
As more couples decide to reaffirm their marriage and vow to vacation, families look for the perfect setting that appeals to all generations. As the gold standard for vow renewal and top five multigenerational travel destination (YouGov, 2016) – it’s impossible not to be surrounded by love at one of “The World’s Most Romantic Islands” (Travel + Leisure, 2015). Hilton Waikoloa Village calls to couples with an “I Do, Take Two” vow renewal experience to express their eternal ever-after with several ceremony options. These ceremony packages include everything from a wedded welcome, adjoining accomodations and authentic Hawaiian activities that are essential to ever-rising multigenerational travel, to the gifts of something old with Old-Hawaii venues; something new with a sanction of re-newal, and something blue with complimentary canal cruises sealed with exclusive service at reception options fit for Hawaiian royalty.
The annual Hawaii Food & Wine Festival (HFWF) returns to Hawaii Island, Saturday, October 22, 2016, from 6-9 p.m., with a signature six-course dinner event, “Hot Lava, Hotter Cuisine,” held at Hilton Waikoloa Village in partnership with the Waikoloa Beach Resort and Waikoloa Beach Marriott. Inspired by the fabled, fiery island, taste buds erupt with ingredients from the land’s diverse bounty prepared by international culinary masters and wine flows like lava to ignite palates with exceptional pairings by Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits Hawaii. VIP and First Hawaiian Bank/MasterCard Preferred attendees receive exclusive 5 p.m. entry. Ticket pricing for General Admission is priced at $250 + tax, and VIP Access priced at $500 + tax.
Hilton Waikoloa Village has appointed David Givens to the position of general manager effective June 18. In his new role, Givens will oversee the operation of the 1,240-room oceanfront resort on the sunny Kohala Coast of Hawaii Island.
